“The golden age is before us, not behind us.
There exists a myth in every civilization that tells about a distant past, when humankind lived in a primitive and simple state. In those days, the myths tell us, there was an instinctive harmony between man and nature. Men’s needs were few and their desires limited, and they felt close to the Gods. These stories are inscribed in all cultures and resurge with special vitality in critical times. However, the projection of the myth does not take place towards the remote past, but towards the future or a distant and fictional place, like an earthly paradise or glorious afterlife.”

Kimberly McDonald

Kimberly McDonald treballa amb pedres en brut i geodes d’una manera molt original. Trobo les seves joies espectaculars!

Kimberly McDonald works with raw gemstones and geodes in a very original way. I find her jewellery amazing!

“There is such an abundance of material out there, we need not continue to harvest many of the materials needed to create. I like to think of each creation as an extension of what nature has given us and we strive to preserve the integrity of the material and its unique energy. We also strive to reuse rather than reap. Jewelry was initially created to carry symbolic talismans and stones of energy or import. I believe it should still have that meaning and that we can accomplish this without pillaging nature.”

Paula Mendoza

La Paula ha creat aquesta col·lecció “Cave of Wonders” inspirada en les pedres que es poden trobar en una cova de Halong Bay, Vietnam. Pedres en brut, de formes cristal·litzades i muntades amb un gran treball dels metalls. M’encanta!!

Paula has created  “Cave of Wonders” collection inspired by gemstones that can be found in a cave in Halong Bay, Vietnam. Rough stones, crystallized shapes and setted using a beautiful metalworking. Love it!

“This is Cave of Wonders: aged metals, melted and calcified by time, giving birth to precious and semiprecious stones fused with the metal as if each were part of the other, a conglomerate formed from immense creative forces.”
