Fa just una setmana veig descobrir aquesta artista de San Francisco i em vaig enamorar de les seves peces, tant les joies com les escultures que fa són impressionants! No us perdeu la resta de la seva feina, no us deixarà indiferents!

“I am a silversmith, welder, neon artist and teacher living in San Francisco.  I love gardening, bicycling and science.  I am a huge outer space nerd.
My work relies on my own personal narrative and the concept of universal connection.  I enjoy working in an extensive variety of materials including metal, paper, neon and organics.  All of the materials or media I use are elements of the periodic table.  Silver, copper, iron, carbon, neon and all of the noble gases.”

Dels llibres de ciència-ficció, passant pel cyberpunk, per arribar al steam-punk. La història segueix evolucionant, ara podem trobar aquestes meravelloses escultures a mans de l’artista Mike Libby. Espero que us agradin! Jo m’he enamorat sobretot de les papallones, la meva debilitat!

From the sci-fi books, going trough the cyberpunk, and finally evolving into the steam-punk. The story is still growing, and nowadays we can find these gorgeous insect ‘sculptures’, created by the talented artist Mike Libby. I hope you like them! I felt in love with all butterflies!

Fa uns dies vaig veure les peces d’aquest artista de Nova York al bloc de la Montserrat i vaig quedar al·lucinada!! Com més em miro les obres d’aquest escultor més ganes tinc de veure’n més. A part, té un estudi impressionant!

A few days ago I saw these pieces from New York artist at Montserrat’s blog and I feel them stunning! As more as I look his sculptures I want to see more. Also, he has really amazing studio!

La Teresa després de llicenciar-se en Dret va estudiar Belles Arts i Joieria a l’Escola Massana. Després d’uns anys treballant a Madrid va decidir tornar a Barcelona i treballar en les seves joies i escultures.

Teresa, after degree on Law, decided to study Art and Jewellery in Massana School. She spend some years working at Madrid and then decide to come back Barcelona and work on her jewels and sculptures.

Munsteiner Atelier, fundada per Bernd Munsteiner el 1966, és tot un referent en la talla de pedres. Amb el lema “Dissenyant la pedra” Bernd juntament amb la Jutta i en Tom fan aquestes magnífique talles per ser transformades en joies o escultures. Són una admiradora de la seva feina des de fa molts anys!!

Munsteiner Atelier, founded by Bernd Munsteiner at 1966, is a gem cutting reference. With the slogan “Designing the stone” Bernd, together with Jutta and Tom, cut this magnificent gemstones to be converted into jewels or esculptures. I’m an admirer of their work since a lot of years ago!!
